Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2001 timing belt and water pump replacement?

My Montero Sport is at 132000 miles and I need to replace the timing belt and water pump - how much does this cost. Also sometimes after driving white smoke is coming out of the hood (when it is really hot outside like 90+ F) and there is a burning smell like burned oil/rubber. What can this be?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers.Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2001 timing belt and water pump replacement?I would not run the motor until you make sure the timing belt is not burning through on a bad idler or tensioner pulley.

The parts will cost $450 and 6 hours labor.

Go to the dealer, regular import mechanics won't replace all the parts needed or put them in correctly for that matter!
