How much does a Audi TT timing belt cost?

I was wanting to have my timing belt replaced on my 2000 Audi TT and I was wondering how much it would cost to replace. I'M NOT TAKING IT TO MY LOCAL AUDI DEALER BTW.How much does a Audi TT timing belt cost?It will run you $450 or less depending on how you put the deal together. Timing belt kits can be purchased from $125 - $210. The more expensive kits include tensioners, pulleys and seals in addition to the belt.

Unless your TT has less than 80K miles, I would go ahead and replace everything while it's apart since labor is a big portion of the costs. You wouldn't want to pay again to go back in to replace leaky seals or bad pulley.

I would get quotes for only the labor from reputable shops in your area and even craigslists for home garage mechanics. If you end up considering the craigslist source, make sure to get at least 3 references for similar cars and call them.

If you're a little mechanically inclined and don't make a lot of money, then you might consider tackling the job yourself. If your time is worth more or don't feel comfortable and lack the tools, then make the most sensible choice from your options above. That's pretty much it. Good luck. How much does a Audi TT timing belt cost?$963.49 plus tax and shop suppliesHow much does a Audi TT timing belt cost?lol, shouldnt have bought audi... they all break. very bad reliability and even worse after youve broken them.. idk what exactly the price is, but you're definitely looking at atleast 3000How much does a Audi TT timing belt cost?Around nine hundred clams. That's because they usually recommend to replace the water pump and/or belts while they are easily accessible. I had mine (Acura 2000) done for around seven hundred clams.
