I bought the Water Pump and timing belt at a local auto store by me. I just want to know the cost of labor! I do not want to go to a Chrysler auto body shop for they are expensive! and i'd rather not get cheated! Any ideas of how much it would cost to JUST install it if I've already bought the parts?How much to INSTALL water pump and timing belt on a PT Cruiser?One most dealers if not all do not cheat customers, their over head is a lot more than your mom and pop repair shop, and the mechanics at the dealer are factory trained, big difference.
Two you should have never bought those parts, because no matter what, be it dealer or shop, they will not warranty the part if it fails, the part store may, but not the labor
Three you would not go to a Chrysler auto body shop, they dont do mechanical repairs
Four the cost will very since repairs in California is way different then in Texas or New York
Figure $400 to $750. The dealer wouldnt even touch your car with your own bought parts
