How many miles can a timing belt last in a 2002 mazda millenia? also water pump?

I'm buying a used milenia that has been maintained fairly well but the timing belt has not been changed ever. I want to know approximately how long before it could go. This car is mainly highway miles, approximately 134K miles. How many miles can a timing belt last in a 2002 mazda millenia? also water pump? The Gates timing belt replacement guide listing below for your car lists either a 2.3Liter or 2.5Liter V6 engine. The 2.3L engine belt is shown as 60,000 miles and the 2.5L engine is shown as 105,000 miles replacement intervals. Neither engine is listed as an interference engine which is damaged if the belt breaks, but a footnote says they can't guarantee their information is correct.

Obviously you need to have the timing belt and water pump replaced as soon as possible.

I recommend immediate timing belt replacement. At well over twice the recommended mileage, the timing belt could fail any time now. The engine in the Millenia will be destroyed if the timing belt fails. According to Yahoo Auto, replacing the timing belt is about $250, that's a lot less than the thousands it would cost for a replacement engine.

Changing the water pump is probably a good idea if you plan to keep this car for a while. It's also a smart move to have your mechanic replace any other worn belts when replacing your timing belt. How many miles can a timing belt last in a 2002 mazda millenia? also water pump?I've heard to change a timing belt by 50,000 miles.
